Banco Brasil’s systems are experiencing instability this Friday (27) and were down. According to BB, the problem was not caused by a hacker attack. The bank’s approximately 54 million customers have used social media to report difficulties accessing accounts and performing Internet banking transactions.

BB confirmed the problem and said it was working to restore access. “BB confirms the inconsistency of its systems this Friday afternoon 27, and is working to restore normalcy.” The company emphasized that it was not a hacker attack. Instability affects operations from computers, website, applications, credit and debit cards, in addition to the service system and even ATM and PIX operations.

Social media reports show that account holders cannot access the app or website. Additionally, credit and debit card payments have been blocked. Customers also report difficulties withdrawing money from ATMs and even transacting at branches. The telephone lines of the call centers are congested. With information from Agência Brasil.
