Federal collection of taxes, contributions and other federal revenues increased 24.49% in the first half of this year. The value is a record since the start of the historic series. Data released by the Federal Revenue indicates that federal collection reached 881.996 billion reais in the first six months of 2021.
President Jair Bolsonaro said on Wednesday (21) that the increase in revenue will allow the federal government to free up resources from the budget of ministries. The government had decreed the contingency of part of the values since the beginning of the year due to the economic uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
