Government calls for return of emergency aid to 625,000 people

The Ministry of Citizenship sent this Tuesday (30) messages on cell phone (SMS) to 625,000 people asking and guiding how to make the voluntary return of sums unduly received from emergency aid. This is the third batch of messages sent by the federal government. After the first two remittances, around R $ 66.3 million was returned to public coffers between August 18 and November 18.

Among the groups on the return list are the recipients of emergency aid who constitute the public already receiving Auxílio Brasil (formerly Bolsa Família) via Cadastro Único (CadÚnico). Workers who have declared income tax and have been informed of the reimbursement of emergency aid, but have not yet made the payment, will also be notified.

There are also people who have received the resources but do not meet the eligibility criteria of the program and others who receive a second assistance benefit from the federal government, such as retirement, unemployment insurance or the Program. emergency employment and income maintenance. Anyone with an employment relationship on the date of the emergency aid request will also have to reimburse the public funds.
