Lira denies new R $ 400 Bolsa Família, rejects default

House Speaker Arthur Lira (PP-AL) denied discussing with members of the government at a meeting on Monday (2) that the value of the new Bolsa Família will be R $ 400. within a PEC or breaking the spending limit was discussed. The information was published by Folha de S. Paulo.

Lira also ruled out the possibility of default on precatório. “We don’t want to break the roof and Brazil cannot fail,” the congressman told reporters on Tuesday (3).

Yesterday Lira was at the official Senate residence with President Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM-MG); the ministers: of the Economy, Paulo Guedes; the Civil House, Ciro Nogueira; the Government Secretariat, Flávia Arruda; and Citizenship, João Roma. For the member of Congress, the new benefit will be established by a provisional measure, within the limits of the budget and the expenditure ceiling, with an average value of R $ 300.

Lira denied that the PEC dos Precatórios, which has yet to be presented by the government, will create a new Bolsa Família worth R $ 400.
