House Speaker Arthur Lira (PP-AL) won the support of opposition parties to continue the process of income tax reform. The opposition and the rapporteur of the file, the deputy Celso Sabino (PSDB-PA), negotiated points and the vote on the text should take place this Wednesday (1st). The information was published by Estadão.
Among the details agreed would be the point that provides for an end to restrictions on simplified personal income tax reporting. The change depends on the approval of the government’s economic team. The PDT and the PSB have started to support the reform. Citizenship requests that the text be removed from the agenda.
“We have been working on it since last week and today we are still going to finish some conversations to see if there is a possibility to vote today,” Lira said of the articulation to be able to vote on the reform.
