Lojas Renner’s website was down on Thursday (19), after being the target of a hacker attack. The attack on e-commerce is said to be a ransomware-type invasion, where hackers hack into company data and demand a ransom in order not to disclose the content. The information was published by the newspaper O Globo.
The company informed in a fact relevant to the market that the main databases are kept. The company said it uses technologies with strict safety standards. Before information on the cyberattack became public, shares of Renner (LREN3) on B3 ended the day up 1.15%.
