It was published in the Official Journal on Tuesday (10) the provisional measure (MP) which opens an extraordinary credit of 9.1 billion reais to the Ministry of Health. Resources will be used to maintain funding for exceptional services resulting from the pandemic in Brazil.
About 8.3 billion reais are expected to be allocated to the National Health Foundation (FNS), which works with specialist care, such as funding intensive care beds and ventilatory support for patients with Covid-19. According to the federal government, the resources will also be used to support the cost of hospital admissions to clinical beds; the cost of transporting patients or supplies for the operation of health services; acquisition of other equipment for the care of patients with coronavirus, also on an exceptional basis.
