Petrobras announced on Tuesday (11) that it will readjust gasoline and diesel prices for distributors as of Wednesday (12). As a result, the average selling price of gasoline will drop from R $ 3.09 to R $ 3.24 per liter, an increase of 4.85%. The value of diesel will drop from R $ 3.34 to R $ 3.61 per liter, an increase of 8.08%.
“These adjustments are important to ensure that the market continues to be supplied on an economic basis and without risk of shortage by the various players responsible for serving the various Brazilian regions: distributors, importers and other producers, in addition to Petrobras” , he added. state-owned company said in a note.
The last increases were in October. In December, the company reduced petrol by R $ 0.10 per liter. Petrobras also stated that “it reiterates its commitment to price competitive and in equilibrium with the market, following upward and downward variations, while avoiding the immediate repercussion on domestic prices, external volatilities and the exchange rate caused by cyclical events “.
