For the second month in a row, Petrobras again restricted fuel delivery to distributors across the country, stating that there was “atypical demand”, and announced to the market that it will not fulfill all orders placed for the month of December. According to the state-owned company, orders were larger than normal. “As in November, the diesel orders sent by distributors for the month of December were atypical and higher than the expected market for this period”, specifies the company. Petrobras guarantees that market service remains normal and that there is no risk of a shortage, also alleging that there are several companies registered with the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) authorized to import fuel.
