The Central Bank informed this Thursday (2) that Pix will authorize the withdrawal of money in small establishments and in commerce in general from November 29. The functions, called Pix Saque and Pix Troco, will give customers the option of withdrawing values or requesting change in cash at registered stores. Pix has recently undergone changes to improve user safety.
According to BC, Pix Saque will allow all customers of any banking establishment to make a withdrawal at any of the points that offer the service, such as commercial establishments and ATM networks. In the case of Pix Troca, the functionality is similar, with the difference that the withdrawal of cash values occurs at the same time as the making of a purchase. In this case, a Pix is made to the merchant with the total amount of the desired purchase and withdrawal, and the customer receives the change in cash. Customers will be able to complete up to eight free transactions per month.
Merchants who agree to become a Pix withdrawal or change point will receive a fee that can range from R $ 0.25 to R $ 0.95 per transaction. “BC’s goal is to increase the capillarity of cash pick-up points for Pix end users, in addition to promoting increased efficiency of pick-up services by reducing costs and improving supply conditions and price, ”said the director of organization and resolution of the financial system of the BC, João Manoel Pinho de Mello.
