The government of Rio Grande do Sul privatized this Friday (16) the National Electricity Transport Company of Rio Grande do Sul (CEEE-T). The dispute was won by CPFL, for 2.67 billion reais, a premium of 57.13% on the initial price, among six other competitors.
The company is responsible for the operation and maintenance of more than 6,000 km of transmission lines and 69 substations in the state.
In March, the government of Rio Grande do Sul, under the administration of Eduardo Leite (PSDB), sold the State Electricity Distribution Company to Equatorial Energia for R $ 100,000 plus the incorporation of debts and liabilities.
