A study prepared by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) shows that the labor market is recovering from the effects of the pandemic and is already showing figures similar to those in the period preceding the disease. According to FGV, the indicator is calculated on the basis of interviews with consumers and entrepreneurs in industry and services and aims to anticipate trends in the labor market. “The positive result suggests that improving pandemic figures and reducing restrictive measures could be the driving force behind the labor market recovery. But it is important to stress that there is still room for recovery and that even the pre-pandemic level still represented a difficult scenario in the labor market, ”said FGV economist Rodolpho Tobler.
Of the seven components presented in the indicator, five contributed to the increase from June to July, with an emphasis on the one that measures the current situation of companies in the service sector, which rose by 10.2 points over the period. period. With information from Agência Brasil.
