The financial market has raised its inflation forecast in Brazil from 6.31% to 6.56% this year. The estimate of the extended national consumer price index (IPCA) appears in the Focus Bulletin, published by the Central Bank on Monday (26). For 2022, the estimate is 3.8%. For 2023 and 2024, the estimates fall to 3.25% and 3% respectively. As for the Selic rate, the financial market predicts that the base interest rate will end the year at 7%. Last week the forecast was 6.75%.
