President Jair Bolsonaro published on Wednesday (25) a decree aimed at facilitating the access of micro and small businesses to simplified credit. The decree allows establishments to act as guarantors to facilitate access to credit lines, through the National Credit Guarantee System (SNGC).
With the new rule, companies will be able to group together in credit unions and guarantee transactions contracted by their members. Funds already operational, such as Pronampe and FGI, from BNDES, can participate in the mechanism. The decree takes effect immediately.
“In this way, joint surety companies, counter-guarantee companies, credit unions and public or private funds can be used to guarantee the operation, facilitating access to small entrepreneurs who do not have the assets. necessary for the operation “, specifies a note published by the General Secretariat of the Presidency.
Financial regulators will be responsible for setting more flexible terms on loans. The National Monetary Council should regulate the acceptance and provision of collateral by financial institutions.
