The vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcelo Ramos (PL-AM), estimated, this Saturday (7), that the Proposal of amendment to the Constitution (PEC) of the printed vote “will be overturned in an overwhelming way”.
“Next week this printed vote PEC will be overwhelmingly overturned and we will turn the page to discuss the life-changing issues of Brazilians by guaranteeing them vaccines on their arms, jobs and food on their plates.” Ramos wrote on his Twitter profile.
Friday (6), by 22 votes for and 11 against, a special committee of the House approved the report of deputy Raul Henry (MDB-PE) on the initiative. The proposal gained “survival” after House Speaker Arthur Lira (PP-AL) decided that the text would be appreciated by the Plenary.
There is still no specific date for the first round of the House vote, but Lira has indicated that the session is expected to take place next week.
